We only have four
expectations in the
classroom. It sounds small, but just about any "rule" that you can think
of can fit into one of these four expectations. They are:

Did you know that my managament system is an
award-winning system?
Each student has a "frog" cut out with
their name on it. When we start the year, all of the "frogs" are on the
board. After two weeks, anyone that has not had to move their frog
will have their frog removed from the board. The goal is to NEVER
have your frog on the board again.

Example of the frogs

I give each child a verbal warning first.
After the verbal warning the student will move their frog into the
warning pouch. Once their frog has been put on the board, it will take
a week without having to move it again in order to get their frog off
the board. With each step, a frog sticker will be placed in the child's
agenda so parents know that something happened.

"Hop 1" is the
warning
slot. Your child will move their frog. Hopefully this will be all that
it takes for your child to fix their behavior.

"Hop 2" is the second step. Your child will move their
frog again.
A sticker will be placed into the agenda with a description of
what happened.

"Hop 3" is the third step. Again, your child will move their
frog
and I will send you an email about what happened to cause your child to
move their frog three times. Again,
a sticker will be put into the agenda and a description of what
happened.

"Hop 4" is the last step. All above procedures will be followed and your
child will be sent to the principal's office.
Some behaviors will
require a child to be sent directly to the office.

At the end of each day, the frogs are cleared out of the pouches and
will stay on the board, off to the side. Each day is a new day. It takes
one week of not moving their frog for a child to remove their frog
from the board.
